Best site ever for online shopping deals!

Many of you may have heard of this site and/or used it. If not, you MUST check it out! It’s called shopittome.com. I signed up not knowing details or what I’d be getting myself into if I did give away my coveted email address ( I usually never sign up places I have to give it b/c of spam. YUCK)… But I was blown away and pleasantly surprised at this fantastic site!

You sign up by making yourself a profile giving all your fave fashion and shopping brands (almost every great brand from the normal faves to designer names). You also input what kind of items you are most interested in hearing the latest deals/sales on (ex: handbags, shirts, skirts, pants, jeans or all of the above and more). You even put in your sizes so they can make sure they HAVE your size before sending you an email of what is available! Don’t you hate it when you love something and your size is nowhere to be found? This is your solution b/c they don’t inform you of anything in the stores that doesn’t fit your size requirements!

So… They inform you of stores that are having sales on brands and items you put in your profile. They are A-list stores too: the likes of Nordstrom and Bloomingdales to name a few. Also a selection of online dealers as well! Reputable places, trust me. This site has been featured in some pretty reputable places including NY Magazine. I am by no means a online shopper. But this site is amazing. The very best part? You don’t have to keep visiting the site to check on deals! They email you as often as you want to be. From daily to weekly or
whatever! They suggest to you twice a week on certain days of the week b/c that’s when the best sales come in.

I attached some pics so you can see some cute stuff on the site. A Moschino bag and also a couple dresses from BCBG and Nicole Miller. Extremely reasonable prices for what you’re getting ladies and gentlemen. I will use this site and I will love it! Online shopping, here I come! Thanks shopittome.com!

My now user review of the Botkier for Target bags…

White python Botkier at Target

White python Botkier at Target

Well Ladies and Gentlemen… I went yesterday and bought 2 of the Botkier for Target bags. The white Python and the fuchsia hobo. The LAST of those styles at the Target I went to. I never get that lucky! Anyways, initial look was that they were cute and pretty good quality too! Very simple and classy. The python wasn’t as close to plastic as I thought it would be (considering it is 100% PVC) as despite the hint of too much shine, it looks as real as PVC could get to real python leather. Remember people this is ultimately a Target bag so remember this when I say that the python was as real as it COULD look. Its quite nice for $39.99!! Anyways, the only gripe I really have here is the zippers on the bags. The ones on the inner pockets are fine. But the ones you really need to work are the outer zippers and they are horrible. Really difficult to zip open and shut and get stuck a lot. You have to really work at it to get it to accurately zip a lot of the time. The fuchsia hobo was the worse of the two. The zipper is a disaster and it looks cheap with the end of the zipper hanging out of the end of the bag (about an inch and a half of it maybe more!) and you can’t stuff it down in the end of the bag either. I am overall more happy with the white python (which my boyfriend was gracious enough to buy for me!). Zipper works better, looks sheik, and the end of the zip is in the bag as it should be (with cheap looking zippers that is!). So I put pics of the purple bag below with my original story of the Botkier bags at Target but I’ve added now the pic of the white python as well. I like these bags, I mean they were only $39.99! I am so not beneath a Botkier for $39.99… Good buy overall.

Botkier… for TARGET!

OK ladies… its what we’ve ALL been waiting for! Something SUBSTANTIAL at Target! Quite possibly one of my favorite places for simple sun dresses and cute flip flops has a top brand selling in my favorite vice… HANDBAGS! I mean Botkier, for crazy low prices! At first of course, I was skeptical. How good can these be? I went online to check them out… and… they’re gorgeous. Great colors, great styles and most of all, prices top out at $49.99! They even have Python bags (100% PVC of course but I hear they are looking good yet!). If any of you have lacked in the bargain buy areas, jump on this Target train! If you even take time to think, they may be gone… they’re only available for a limited time. So do yourself a favor… Don’t think twice. Don’t even think once. Get to the website (majority of stores are sold out or limited in stock) and make multiple purchases. You won’t regret it. Even top reviewers and editors have had good things to say. PLUS… if you buy more than $50 worth, you get free shipping. Do I need to do anymore convincing?? I hope you didn’t even have to get this far before you logged into Target.

The Hills… best in Fashion

Lauren Conrad... VS isn't the only ones producing angels

Okay, so as much as I hate to admit it… Lauren Conrad has it going on. Her line has flourished (laurenconrad.seenon.com) and she is always dressed to the max. Whether in leggings and a shirt or in this Roberto Cavalli gown at the season 4 premier of The Hills. I mean she looks like an angel here… hair swept up loosely and a gorgeous neutral with a little funk gown. The design on the side gives that pizazz LC is known for but her whole looks is simple and gorgeous.

Although… I do like to see designers fight, claw and sweat blood and tears to get their lines even glanced at, Lauren got fame that easy way through her reality show. In turn once she became a name, she designed her own line and BOOM, away it went and is selling like crazy (even with the somewhat outrageous prices! I mean, it is still JUST a Lauren Conrad line… BCBG styles, BCBG prices, no BCBG name). Either way, she got it out there and is profiting and looking great. Now with Heidi Montag coming out with her own line, will this reality star “easy way in” become a trend? LETS HOPE NOT. Still, way to go Lauren… classy, simple and beautiful line. Just like you.

Chanel: Business women… Sex and the City.

ChanelImage via Wikipedia

Well, Chanel doesn’t disappoint do they… This fall they broke out pure classics: Tweeds, furs and the most classic colors women could want in black, greys, taupe and beige. This fall, we can expect to see NYC business women and/or the classic woman dressed head to toe in Chanel. Why? We are seeing an array of fashioned up business suits in the form of pencil skirts and matching blazers. And I mean who DOESN’T look good in black and grey hues? Very St. John actually. But what sets these apart from the those St. John suits we see mostly on the 40+ crowd? They’re ramped up with ruffles on the bottom and the nice tight stitch around the hem of the skirts. Bit shorter, bit trendier. Nice short, petite blazer. Paired with a simple pair of Chanel pumps OR get the matching tweed ones in some cases… How much better can we get here?

I’m not a business woman by any means… I mean, the only pencil skirt I own is for job interviews! BUT… at the idea of prancing around in these Chanel suits? I would gladly succumb and adhere to the “cut throat, do anything to move up” motto of those we know and love in the city. Now all we need to go with the Chanel suits in the City? Sex… Oh wait… with Chanel covering your body and hanging on your arm… what better love and arm candy would a girl NEED??

Gucci and Gold: The Hysteria Collecion

The campaign photo for Hysteria

Well, here it is… my first post… I wanted to wait for something to catch my eye. If anyone has picked up this month’s issue of Vogue (July 2008), flip to the inside cover… Hysteria Collection by Gucci. Priceless. The epitome of “Gucci and Gold.” Purples and golds, with brown hues. Very fall. Very classic. Full of furs and suede. I’ve never been a big fan of monograms… So the simplicity of the suede and leather bags is a plus for me. However, the metalic Gucci monogram on the butt of those jeans? WOW. The oversized “carpet” bag is absolutely gorgeous… reminds me of Mary Poppins’ bag of endless treasures; gives me a little tingle =) I’m not usually about busy-ness but this bag is beautiful. Overall, I am impressed by this new collection by Gucci. Simple and classic. Something you could actually wear off the runway and not get masses of “what the hell is she wearing” stares! Way to go Gucci. You stuck to your somewhat eccentricity with the bags and fur but kept it classic with the monochromatic fall colors of purples, browns and golds; stuck to the monograms you are known for but toned it down by matching the monogram to the bag color itself. I would definitely rock the monogram in this collection… to where, if I had a few thousand dollars, I would run to my nearest Gucci store and fully stock up on the Hysteria line. Loved it.
